Attending the Exeter College student volunteer fair

YMCA Exeter’s Volunteer Officer, Sue Wilson manages over 40 volunteers, each bringing a wealth of skills and activities to YMCA Exeter. From mentoring residents at the Lighthouse Cafe to baking cakes and helping out in the garden, the support we offer to residents is all the richer because of our volunteers.

Alongside our volunteers, Sue manages the YMCA Exeter ambassadors. These residents, living in Stage 4 housing, give their time and energy to join us at events and share about the work of YMCA Exeter.

Earlier this month, we had a stand at Exeter College’s student volunteer fair. Sara and Kirstie, two of our YMCA Exeter Ambassadors and Stage 4 residents, helped tirelessly for four hours, engaging with the students about our work. They are absolute stars!
