We have a few tools that help you manage rent.

We use PayPal for making rent payments.

You don’t need to have a Paypal account for this!

After the first screen that asks for the payment amount, select the button that says “Pay by Debit or Credit Card”. This will bring you to a screen asking for payment details.

Please don’t ignore it if there is a problem with paying your rent.

Please get in touch and discuss whats happening with your support worker (if you’re in stage 1 or 2), or your tenancy worker (if you’re in Exwick, or Sidwell Studios).

If rent has been missed, we will ask you to fill out a rent repayment agreement. This ensures that everyone knows what rent you expect to pay.

YMCA Exeter operates a charitable donation Rent Bursary scheme that helps young people who are currently living in our Newcourt accommodation to be able to enter into full time employment.

This is because as your income from your employment increases, the amount you receive from Housing Benefit decreases.

Please speak with your support worker to find out more about this, and if this applies to you.

We have several rent calculators to help you estimate how changes to your income will impact your housing benefit and your top-up.

Find it by clicking the button below.

We turned a forgotten corner into a creative feedb We turned a forgotten corner into a creative feedback wall! 🎨✨

At YMCA Exeter, feedback from young people isn’t just welcomed, it’s vital to what we do! That’s why our Wellbeing Practitioners transformed this space next to our therapy rooms into somewhere clients can share their honest thoughts and feelings after sessions.

Whether it’s a quick note, a drawing, or a few words about their experience, every piece of feedback helps us reflect, review, and improve the support we offer.

Young people’s voices are at the heart of what we do, and this wall is just one of the many ways we make sure those voices are heard💛

🌿Last week we concluded our Grow For Good proje 🌿Last week we concluded our Grow For Good project- bringing together a group of 18-25 year olds to explore Cognitive Behavioural Therapy techniques in a hands-on, outdoor setting.

In our final session, led by our Practitioner Georgia, we created a gratitude garden where we wrote out things we were grateful for about ourselves and about the group, planting them in this pot as a memory and reminder!

Well done to everybody who took part in this course - it's amazing to see you all learning and growing 🌿
🎶 We enjoyed some amazing live music from our t 🎶 We enjoyed some amazing live music from our talented residents last week!

Our summer garden party had the perfect soundtrack, thanks to residents Finn, John, and Casey - performing a mix of original songs and covers alongside staff members Chris, Tim, and Meg. 🌞🎤🎸

At our Lighthouse project, residents have the chance to dive into music – whether it's joining a music group, recording songs they've written in our studio, or performing at homes for the elderly.

Such a brilliant reminder of the creativity and talent at YMCA Exeter 💛 #LiveMusic #LighthouseProject #YMCAExeter
Last Wednesday we had a summer barbecue in our gar Last Wednesday we had a summer barbecue in our garden behind our stage 1 housing building! ☀️🥗🍔🥩

The sun was shining and there was plenty of food: burgers, hotdogs, veggie kebabs and all kinds of salads!

It was a wonderfull chance for everyone to connect, relax and enjoy each other‘s company!

The highlight was three of our talented residents performing songs they‘d been learning with Chris! That was amazing!

Thank you so much to everyone who came and made it such a nice event! ☀️

We've loved being part of the Attendance & Wellbei We've loved being part of the Attendance & Wellbeing Project run by the Family Minds Partnership - a creative initiative helping young people overcome emotionally-based school avoidance.

As part of the project, our Horticulture team delivered Forest School sessions in schools, providing students with a safe, engaging learning environment as a positive step back into education.

One young person shared:
"This is a better way to start my day - especially when we cook pancakes over the fire and I haven’t had breakfast. It gives me freedom from home and gets me out of the house. Forest School is a fun place to hang out."

Another said:
"Forest School makes me want to come to school. I’d stay out here all day if I could."

And another:
"Being outside in nature helps my mood and makes me feel more relaxed."
