We have a few tools that help you manage rent.

We use PayPal for making rent payments.

You don’t need to have a Paypal account for this!

After the first screen that asks for the payment amount, select the button that says “Pay by Debit or Credit Card”. This will bring you to a screen asking for payment details.

Please don’t ignore it if there is a problem with paying your rent.

Please get in touch and discuss whats happening with your support worker (if you’re in stage 1 or 2), or your tenancy worker (if you’re in Exwick, or Sidwell Studios).

If rent has been missed, we will ask you to fill out a rent repayment agreement. This ensures that everyone knows what rent you expect to pay.

YMCA Exeter operates a charitable donation Rent Bursary scheme that helps young people who are currently living in our Newcourt accommodation to be able to enter into full time employment.

This is because as your income from your employment increases, the amount you receive from Housing Benefit decreases.

Please speak with your support worker to find out more about this, and if this applies to you.

We have several rent calculators to help you estimate how changes to your income will impact your housing benefit and your top-up.

They can either be found here, or by scrolling further down the page.

Please select the project name for where you are living.

We loved hosting pupils from @stpetersexeter for t We loved hosting pupils from @stpetersexeter for their enrichment week this week! Thanks to our incredible Community Projects team for running the activities!

The day included pizza making, cupcake baking, painting flower pots, forging keyrings, board games and outdoor craft! All based in our community garden in the beautiful sunshine!

Mark from St Peter's gave us this feedback:
"Thank you to all of you for a brilliant day together. We came with a wide range of students, some would have been really anxious about the day. But your team’s compassion and confidence put them all at ease to give things a go that they perhaps wouldn’t consider ‘their thing’. They all left smiling, saying they had had a brilliant day."
Meet Meg – one of our incredible Support Workers Meet Meg – one of our incredible Support Workers!

Meg recently shared her story with Christianity Today magazine, reflecting on her journey from touring with the successful band Wildwood Kin, to feeling a deep compassion for vulnerable young people in the city.

– and now, to her role at YMCA Exeter, where she supports previously homeless young people as they take steps toward healthier, more independent lives.

We’re so thankful for the care and warmth Meg brings to her role – and we’re grateful for all our amazing Support Worker heroes.
