Youth & Communities Worker

Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

Salary £17,000 -£18,500 dependant on experience  

Closing Date: 9am Monday 4th July

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our Youth Services Team as a Youth & Communities Worker.

This challenging and varied role is responsible for organising and delivering youth services sessions, both informal open access evening youth clubs and structured taught sessions across Exeter and the northern half of Devon, including but not exclusively; sexual health advice under the C card scheme, drug & alcohol advice, e-safety, managing risk, values and beliefs and personal wellbeing. This is an exciting opportunity to work with hundreds of young people of all faiths and none in a variety of settings.

As a member of the Youth Services Team you will share responsibility for supporting, teaching and leading a large number of young people including those wishing to explore faith. You will also assist in training sessional workers and volunteers, you will therefore be fully committed to the Christian ethos, vision and mission of YMCA Exeter. You will be self-motivated, highly organised, energetic and practical, with a proven record of organising and delivering first rate youth work and/or school lessons.
